Tuition & Fee Subsidies
Direct assistance covering school, exam and registration fees so no student is turned away for non-payment.
Programme 1 of 6
School fees, materials and tuition support so cost is never the reason a student leaves the classroom.
Overview
For too many families in Pwani Region, a single term's school fees can mean choosing between a child's education and putting food on the table. Our Education Access & Scholarships programme exists to close that gap — covering tuition, exam fees, uniforms and learning materials for primary, secondary and vocational students who would otherwise be at risk of dropping out.
We work directly with head teachers and community leaders to identify students in genuine need, then walk with each one for the full academic year — not just a single payment, but ongoing monitoring of attendance and performance so support arrives before a small setback becomes a dropped-out year.
Why it matters
students in our partner communities report having missed school time due to unpaid fees before joining the programme.
Our process
Head teachers and community leaders nominate students facing financial barriers to enrolment.
Our team visits the household to confirm need and understand the family's full situation.
Fees, exam costs, uniforms and learning materials are paid directly to the school or supplier.
We track attendance and grades each term and renew support for as long as it's needed.
